My name is Gabriella and I am the owner of Millarose Border Collies, together with my husband Zach.

​

We are a very small breeder, having only one litter a year. Our three dogs are a part of our everyday family life and live in our home. We bred for health, temperament and for betterment of the breed. Focusing on breeding happy and well adjusted family pets.

 

I grew up with Border Collies on my parents property. I had a childhood red and white border named "Matilda", she was my best friend and shadow. 

Sadly she passed at 17 years old.

When looking for a dog for our family a few years later the Border Collie stood out not only for sentimental reasons but also as they had both brains and beauty. They are an active, social breed that is loyal and eager to please.

Border Collies are active and excel at agility and in the show ring. Though agility and showing is definitely something we would be interested in later in life with our dogs, we wish to focus on breeding puppies that are gorgeous family companions. 

​

We have put considerable time and effort into training and socialising our dogs and will do the same with their future litters. All our breeding stock are clear of CEA, TNS and NCL by genetic testing, so there is no way our puppies can ever have or carry any of these nasty diseases.

​

I have a degree in animal and veterinary bioscience majoring in animal behaviour, welfare and genetics. I have worked in animal nutrition and other areas of the animal industry for many years. 

Even though I have had a recent career change I still have a great passion for animals and my dogs are a HUGE part of my life.
