Rest Easy Darling Boy
2015 - 2024
Parker is a black and tan tri border collie, he has a beautiful full, long coat and a solid build. Parker is just under 20kg. His dad is a sable and white border collie and his mum is a red and white border collie. His dad now resides at a Border Collie Kennel in Japan.
Parker has the most gorgeous personality as a family pet. He is a very friendly, happy boy who loves being social and meeting new people and dogs. He has a low/medium drive and who is happiest with his head in your lap getting a belly scratch. Parker is fantastic with kids of all agers and he has such a special bond with my 2 year old son. I would describe him as having a Golden Retriever personality in a Border Collie body.
Parker has been genetically tested and is clear of all common border collie hereditary diseases. He has been DNA tested by an approved collection method by our fantastic vet. Parker has been tested and is clear of the following diseases:
Primary Lens Luxation (clear)
Collie Eye Anomaly/Choroidal Hypoplasia (CEA) (clear)
Degenerative Myelopathy (clear)
Ivermectin sensitivity MDR1 (clear)
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) (clear)
Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS) (clear)
Cobalamin Malabsorption Cubilin Def (clear)
Parker has been genetically tested and has the following colour traits:
Ee, at/at, DD, k/k, EmE and Bb. We have his semen frozen for AI.
Heartbreakingly, we lost Parker in 2024 to a nerve sheath tumour that developed in an old injury in his shoulder, there is is not a genetic disorder thankfully for his offspring. Just very unfortunate. He was truely my heart dog and I feel grateful for the beautiful 9 years I got to have him by my side. He adored my toddler son and was happiest getting cuddles on the lounge and watching Bluey with him.
